J'ai perdu les traits de ma coquille
son image en entresol

le corps à corps
cruel
de l'étreinte et de l’empreinte

j'ai refermé chaque doigt
sur cette image - reflet inébranlable, impossible

j'ai serré si fort
tant détenue
que je la nommais vérité

en parallèle

j'ai fait pâlir mon désir
pour qu'il rencontre enfin l'instant
pour que l'impatience se consume en conscience
pour, finalement - me retrouver seule

aussi libre qu'un chapeau dans les vagues









I lost the contours of my shell
its image on the cusp

the cruel infighting
of clasp and mark

I closed each finger
around that image–unwavering, impossible reflection

I grasped so hard
so possessed
that I named it truth

in parallel

I palliated my desire
so that at last it met the moment
so that impatience consumes itself in conscience
so that finally - I find myself alone

free as a hat in the waves
